Belarusian Broadcasting Centre RUE provides a three-program wire sound broadcast in Minsk and all regional centers of the republic:

• First National Channel of Belarusian Radio;
• Channel "Culture";
• Radio "Stolitsa".

The radio outlets number of wire sound broadcast of Belarusian Broadcasting Centre RUE as of 01.07.2009 amounts to 1309470 units, of which 275963 units – organizations and 1033507 – population.

The major reasons for radio outlets elimination at enterprises are insolvency, restructuring and decline in production, building reassignment, as well as change of ownership. As a rule, a new premises owner does not renew contractual relations for radiofixation.

When carrying out capital repairs of office premises and buildings reconstruction the existing wire broadcast network is broken, radio-wire link is destroyed, and measures for its repairing in most cases are not taken. There are cases, when enterprises dispose of the radio outlets in office premises and refuse of repairing them. One more reason for radio outlets elimination at enterprises is the necessity for contracts renegotiation for rendering of wire broadcast (radiofixation) services for the next year. Many organizations refuse of wire radio and the reason of their refusal is switch to on-air sound programs.

The problems of the paid radio outlets in budget organizations and educational institutions are poorly solved.

The number of applications for wire broadcast network failure in the first half of 2009 is presented in the table:

Electrical linemen of the line sections in Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Minsk and Mogilev Regional Centers of Broadcasting Activities, with number of personnel from 20 to 28 employees deal with rectification of customer radio outlet faults.

The number of issued technical specifications for the housing space radiofixation in the first half of 2009 at Belarusian Broadcasting Centre RUE amounted to 189 units including the branches:

• Brest Regional Centre - 13;
• Vitebsk Regional Centre - 40;
• Gomel Regional Centre - 10;
• Grodno Regional Centre - 8;
• Minsk Regional Centre - 109;
• Mogilev Regional Centre - 9.
  

            As of 01.07.2009 the total capacity of amplifying equipment in the wire broadcast network amounts to 985 kW.
